Ron Kasprisin, NWWS, Professor Emeritus UW

Ron Kasprisin watercolor artist

Ron Kasprisin is a Signature Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS) and is a Professor Emeritus, College of Built Environments, University of Washington; and a retired principal in Kasprisin Pettinari Design, Architects and Urban Planners.

 

Ron taught watercolor as a fine art in the Department of Architecture, College of Built Environment, University of Washington for over ten years to students in architecture, landscape architecture, art, and urban planning plus interested faculty. Ron's emphasis was/is on an impressionistic approach within fine arts as opposed to an architectural representational approach. Students were encouraged to seek their own identity through experimentation and practice. Fundamental art principles were a foundation of the course.

 

Ron's works have been accepted in nationally juried exhibitions including: National Watercolor Society, Northwest Watercolor Society NWWS Seattle/Bellevue (5), CM Russell Museum Foundation Great Falls MT, Western Colorado Watercolor Society WCWS Grand Junction CO (5), Wyoming Watercolor Society WWS (2), Salmagundi Club 47 Fifth Avenue NY, St. Louis Artists Guild St. Louis MO, Peninsula Art League Gig Harbor WA (Honorable Mention), Eastside Association of Fine Arts EAFA Bellevue WA (Honorable Mention), Barns and Farms National Exhibit Kuwaunee WI, and numeruos local exhibitions.

 

Ron lives with his wife Linda and Labradors River and Montana on Whidbey Island, Langley WA, where they also own and run The Ridge at Langley, (Artist Guest House, Villa Margot and Villa Oscar, vacation rentals on a lovely six acre open fir forest near Langley, our Village by the Sea.
